At Little Sunshine Family Child Care, we know that strong language and literacy skills are the foundation for learning and success. Every day, we create fun and engaging experiences that help children from birth to age 8 develop their communication, early reading, and writing abilities.

We read books together, sing songs, tell stories, and encourage conversations to build vocabulary and understanding. Children are introduced to new words in meaningful ways — through play, daily routines, and hands-on activities — so they can connect words with real-life experiences.
We also provide extra support for children with special needs, using individualized strategies that help every child find their voice and express themselves confidently. Whether it’s using picture cards, sign language, or interactive storytelling, we meet children where they are and help them grow.
At Little Sunshine Family Child Care, language and literacy learning is joyful, inclusive, and part of everything we do!
